WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and accessories. upgrade item are purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Crests

The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
